Builder of Fine Coastal Homes
Meet Kirby Outerbridge
Barrier island home construction requires a unique skill-set only acquired through experience. Kirby Outerbridge, president of Outerbridge Construction Inc., has been a South Florida resident since grade school. With twenty-seven years of experience in building custom homes, including eighteen years in Boca Grande, he is uniquely qualified to build your island home
Kirby hails as a fourth generation contractor from a family tradition originating in Bermuda during the early 1900s. His great grandfather (also named Kirby) created custom Bermudian homes that remain to this day. Kirby’s grandfather followed in his father’s footsteps and in his turn, his own father, John, took up the family venture. In 1975, having moved to the United States, John founded Outerbridge construction in Venice, Florida.
Upon graduation from college, Kirby began working with his father. After 10 years in the family business, Kirby accepted the position of project manager for an established contractor in Boca Grande, FL. When his father retired in 2006, Kirby took over the family business, bringing it to the island. Eighteen years later, he is still building beautiful custom homes in Boca Grande.
